About the PING G440 Irons
PING introduced the G440 irons for 2025 as its mainstream distance-and-forgiveness iron. A shallower, thinner face shifts mass lower and farther back in the head, while the updated PurFlex cavity badge is designed to support face flex and enhance feel and sound.
The G440 has a shorter blade length and thinner topline for a more compact appearance than many game-improvement irons. PING lengthened the 4-, 5- and 6-irons by 1/8 inch versus G430 to help create speed, launch and more consistent distance gaps through the long end.
