About the PING i530 Irons
PING introduced the i530 in 2024 for golfers who want the compact appearance of a players iron but prioritize additional distance. A thin topline, narrow sole and shallow face height create a blade-inspired profile, while the construction inside the head is very different from a traditional one-piece blade.
The i530 pairs a highly flexible forged C300 maraging-steel face with a 17-4 stainless-steel hollow body. Internal weighting lowers the center of gravity and encourages face flex, while polymer behind the face helps manage sound and feel. It is PING’s players-distance design, not a traditional forged cavity-back or muscle-back iron.
