TaylorMade P790 (2025) Irons — Used Value & Resale Guide

Released in 2025, the fifth-generation TaylorMade P790 adds a new forged face, revised internal weighting, and progressively tuned center-of-gravity placement to its hollow-body players-distance design. TCV tracks completed private-market sales of the 2025 P790 to show what these iron sets are worth used.

About the 2025 TaylorMade P790

TaylorMade introduced the fifth P790 generation in February 2025, with retail availability beginning in March. Its hollow-body construction retains SpeedFoam Air and adds a 4340M forged face. TaylorMade says the material is about 20% stronger than the previous face material, allowing a larger sweet spot than the 2023 7-iron.

FLTD CG progressively changes center-of-gravity placement through the set. The 4–7 irons use up to about 40 grams of internal tungsten to support launch and stability, while the short irons use a different weighting approach for control. The standard seven-piece steel set launched at $1,399.99; that historical retail price does not affect TCV's value estimate.
