About the Titleist Vokey SM7

The Titleist Vokey SM7 was introduced in 2018 as the generation following SM6 and preceding SM8. SM6 had introduced Vokey's Progressive Center of Gravity concept, and SM7 refined that system by moving the center of gravity farther through the loft range — higher in the higher-lofted wedges and lower in the stronger-lofted heads.

That makes SM7 an important step in the Vokey generation sequence. It retained the recognizable progressive-CG architecture of SM6 while further separating how the stronger and higher lofts were engineered.

SM7 also introduced the D Grind to the stock grind family and used an updated Spin Milled groove-cutting process. Plated and raw finishes were cut using different processes, while all SM7 wedges received a heat treatment in the impact area. The 60° lineup was available across L, M, S, D, and K grinds, giving the reference loft several distinct configurations.
